The
Sinulog Festival is an annual festival held on the third Sunday of January in the City of Cebu in honor of the Baby Jesus, who used to be their patron saint. It is a dance ritual that commemorates the Cebuano people's Islamic and pagan origin, and their acceptance of Roman Catholicism. It features a street parade of participants in bright colored costumes dancing in the rhythm of drums, gongs, and trumpets.
